Why Donate?
Your Library reaches more people than any other community infrastructure (in April 2008, The Tigard Library had over one million transactions—a record!) The Library’s breadth of information and program outreach is unlimited.
When you invest in the Library, you are investing in quality of life for all.
To this end, the Friends of the Tigard Library gratefully accepts cash gifts as well as book donations.

Where do donations go?
We have a streamlined process that follows these steps:
- Librarians go through the books for shelving needs
- Some books are chosen for our ongoing sale in the Library lobby
- Other books are chosen for inclusion in our book sale events
Are non-monetary donations tax-deductible?
You bet! The Library will give you a receipt that you fill in with the particulars.
